1. Who we are

This website, devineconfidential.com, is operated by Liam Devine, trading as Devine Confidential Publishing, Switzerland (“we”, “us”). Email: liam@devineconfidential.com. The business is not entered in the commercial register.

 

2. Scope

These Terms apply to all orders placed through this website. By placing an order you accept the version in force at the time of your order. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence are not affected.

 

3. Products

We sell signed copies of The Abecedarium of Swiss Watches in its English and French editions. Each copy is signed by the author. You may ask for a personal dedication; a dedicated copy is made to your instructions and cannot be resold. Product images are illustrative; covers and bindings may vary slightly between print runs.

 

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Swiss francs (CHF). We are not registered for Swiss VAT and charge no VAT. Shipping costs are shown before you confirm your order. Customs duties, import VAT and local taxes in the destination country are payable by the buyer. We accept the payment methods offered at checkout, processed by Wix Payments. Payment is due when you place the order.

 

5. How a contract is formed

1. Choose your edition and add any dedication text.

2. Review your basket, then enter your delivery and billing details.

3. Check every detail on the summary page; you can correct any entry before confirming.

4. Click the order-and-pay button. This is a binding offer to buy.

5. We send an automatic email acknowledging receipt. The contract is formed when we confirm acceptance or dispatch the book, whichever comes first.

 

If a book is unavailable we will tell you promptly and refund any payment in full.

 

6. Delivery

We ship worldwide from Switzerland by Swiss Post. Delivery times are those of Swiss Post for the service and destination chosen, and may be longer where customs clearance applies. Risk passes to you on delivery. Please check your parcel on arrival and tell us within 7 days of any transport damage, with a photo if possible.

 

7. Returns

Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

 

8. Warranty

If a book is faulty (misprinted, missing pages, damaged in transit) or not what you ordered, we will replace it or refund it. For consumers, the statutory warranty period of two years from delivery applies (Swiss Code of Obligations, art. 210).

 

9. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

 

10. Intellectual property

All texts, images, logos and videos on this website belong to Liam Devine / Devine Confidential or their licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without written permission, except for private, non-commercial use.

 

11. Data protection

We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

 

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version published at the time of your order applies to that order.

 

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The courts at the seller’s registered address (Nyon district, canton of Vaud) have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory rules allowing consumers to sue or be sued at their own place of residence.
